FurMark is an extremely demanding OpenGL benchmark that evaluates the performance of a graphics card using fur rendering algorithms. Fur rendering is specifically designed to cause the GPU to overheat; therefore, this application is an ideal GPU burner (also referred to as stability and stress test tool) for the graphics card.
Upon completion of the benchmark, simply consult the result dialog window to determine the number of points. Points are awarded for the number of frames that are displayed throughout the benchmark. Therefore, the graphics system exerts a greater influence as the score increases.
